Early Intervention for Children with Autism

Building Bridges Community Support has qualified Behaviour Interventionists who work with preschool aged children with autism.

The goal of intervention is supporting the children to develop the skills they will need to be successful in school and the community. The focus of intervention includes: communication, social skills, daily living skills, gross and fine motor skills, behaviour support, and academic skills.

Children will have the opportunity to work one-to-one with the Interventionist and participate in group activities.

Working in conjunction with a Behavioural Consultant, Speech and Language Pathologist, Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist, the Interventionist implement the Behavioural Plan of Care for each child.

Hours of intervention are designed to meet the needs of the children and their families.
