Hope you are doing well.

Thank you for your time to read my message and considering my application. This is Amandeep Kaur. I would like to apply for a position as advertised on your website. Although I do not have educational background in this field but do have a lot of experience working with vulnerable sector, leadership in Canadian environment with certain level of mandatory certification. I have good communication and interpersonal skills which will help to give contribution in your good wills. I have 5 years of college degree which includes 3 years of Bachelor of Arts and 2 years of HR& Leadership. I also have valid license of ECEA to work with children.

 

If I take your attention on my work experience.

  • I am currently working in London drugs as supervisor where I lead 20 people along with whole store operation, customers complains and customer service, Training, Cash Handling and scheduling as well. My current jobs make me fit for the community support worker as I deal with homeless peoples, resolving issues, make them happy.  Customer service built strong communication skills, emotional intelligence and confidence to face all problems and resolve them very effectively and efficiently.
  • I worked in Footprints security as a static guard where I had to dealt with homeless people, mental health patients and sometimes overdose patients because I had my almost all the shifts either in homeless housing or senior housing. My responsibilities are pretty much making reports, look after outside and inside the apartment to make sure the safety for all staff and residents, customer service to residents, good communication with them to feel them safety and comfortable. I had some cases where I faced lots of overdose patients in apartments, helped staff members in all situations.
  •  I worked in Guru Amardas Niwas (India) where we provide free shelter to homeless, and seniors with food, medications, mentally support and security. I had experienced to work with handicapped provide them cleaning by maintaining a respectful and compassionate environment. I also have an experience with dementia patients and medication procedure as well.
  • I do have experience with other sectors like food, local stores, clothing and in retail as well. I have naloxone certification, CPR, First Aid, Food safe which make me eligible for this position to serve community.
