Aug 13, 2024 - went to Blenkinsop driving range and practiced hitting golf balls; Tommy continues to run on his treadmill (in his basement) 3 times per week.

Aug 27 - T more anxious than I've ever observed in him; unrecognizable self-talk, jerky body movements, big frown, completely disengaged when I spoke to him;

Eventually with cautious, gentle and few questions, T was able to share that he only has 3 days to decide; T's words were spoken with panic;

Walked around in westshore mall; T didn't want to go into Out of Bounds sports store, which is completely out of character for him; returned to car and T finally said that he needs to go to Uvic next week;

After more gentle talk, I learned that it's Yes "dream" to attend Uvic. He's been to the computer lab and to the auditorium when he graduated. He wants to "grow" and "feel proud" of himself.

I helped him understand that attendance requires registration months in advance. After processing this, T told me that he feels much better. Not panicked and that the pressure is off.

At that moment, T became interactive with me. He became more chatty that I've ever seem in him. He's going to talk with PJ about school. And he agreed to have me help him move forward in the process to attend school.

Drove to Esquimalt lagoon.

T informed me that being around too many people makes him uncomfortable. T anticipates that when he finishes his workday in Sept (at the interrurban campus) there will be too many people on the bus (school resuming); I asked T if its ok for me to share his concerns with Angela (Job coach) and she can talk to T's boss. T wants to think about it first. I said I'll wait for his permission to speak with Angela.

Today T made big progress. I told him that I'm proud of him for all of his talk/sharing today.

Aug 29 - Tommy emailed the six people in his sports pool. He provided the NFL team picks to choose for the season. The sports pool members replied to Tommy with their team choices.

1. Keep body healthy

2. Continue to hone artistic ability

3. continue co-ordinating sports pool

Tommy requires alot of time to process information and is easily overwhelmed when presented with too much info. One question is enough for Tommy to manage per session.

Tommy processed conversation more quickly today than I've observed in all of our time working together.
